The cold cabinet may be used in a shop. It has a base (1) which may contain refrigeration equipment and a cold region (2) which may be reached by sales staff (5) leaning over behind the cabinet. There is a curved transparent fixed cover (3) at the front. This cover prevents access by customers and has an enlarged edge which acts as a handhold for the sales staff.
