<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generating device for air bag device, which can feed the combusted gas quickly to an air bag with good efficiency. SOLUTION: A pressure vessel 5 to accommodate a combustible gas 8 is designed as capable of being split in two segments, and a sealing material 13 is attached tightly to the contacting parts of the segments. When the gas in this vessel is ignited by an igniter 6, the gas pressure is heightened due to combustion, and when the prescribed value is attained, the sealing material goes in rupture to cause the combusted gas to be fed to the air bag, so that the gas can be sent to the air bag 3 quickly, and the intended gas generating device for air bag device can be achieved with quick responsiveness and high reliability.</p> |
