Reduced-vibration linear super-finish grinder

The super-finish grinder produces flat and shaped surfaces. It consists of two rotating spring mass systems working in opposite directions in a linearly guided path. The path of the grinding bodies (1) is controlled by a single rotating disc cam (2). The radius of the disc cam corresponds to a sine or cosine function depended on the turn angle. Contact between the cam disc and the grinding bodies may be on the circumferential or planar surface of the disc cam.
