PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin slab of good shape by preventing solidification abnormality to be generated at the end part of an austenitic stainless steel thin slab. SOLUTION: In a twin roll continuous casting method, in which a molten steel M of austenitic stainless steel is continuously supplied between a pair of cooling rolls 1, 1 arranged parallel each other and solidified so as to cast a thin slab 6, a crown quantity Cw (μm), which is specified by the following inequality (I) corresponding to a sheet thickness (d) (mm) and a width W (mm) of the thin slab 6 to be cast, is given to the cooling rolls 1, 1. (0.0000117×d×W<2> )+(0.0144×d×W)<=Cw<=0.5×d...(I) wherein d: thickness (mm) of thin slab. W: width (mm) of thin slab.
