The thread cleaner incorporates divided or laterally sprung thread jaws (4), which can be expanded sideways by cooperation between a lower conical surface in the jaws and a conical surface at the bottom in a guide pin (1) drawn through the jaw. The thread jaw in the non-expanded position can be drawn together by a surrounding tension ring (3), so that the jaw in that position can be freely pushed downwards through the internal thread. After this, in the expanded position it can follow the thread upwards and machine, clean or re-set the threads in the upper part. |
