A cable conveyor system for the transport of heavy workpieces in a continuousproduction assembly applications is disclosed. The cable conveyor system include s a circulating conveyor cable. A plurality of hangers are couplable to the circulating conveyo r cable for the reception of the workpieces. A runway rail supports the weight of the hangers.
