PURPOSE: To certainly transfer toner to paper by applying vibration to the toner on a transfer roller to loosen the toner. CONSTITUTION: Toner 16 receives electrostatic force in a high potential direction by the potential difference between a control electrode 4 and a toner carrying roller 14 and passes through apertures 16 from the toner carrying roller 14 to be drawn out toward the control electrode 4. The drawn-out toner 16 flies toward a transfer roller 22 by the electric field formed between the transfer roller 22 and the aperture electrode element by the voltage applied to a first back electrode 28 to accumulate on the transfer roller 22 to form a pixel. An AC electric field is formed across a transfer electrode 30 and a second back electrode 32 by the action of DC power supplies 24, 32 and an AC power supply 36 and vibration is applied to the toner 16 on the transfer roller 22 by the AC electric field. |
