PURPOSE: To show a part with fast motion clearly and a part with slow motion smoothly by detecting the degree of motion of the position in the depth direction of a reflecting echo signal from relation with the reflecting echo signal last time and deciding correlation for the depth direction of the reflecting echo signal corresponding to the degree of motion. CONSTITUTION: Differential calculation from the reflecting echo signal is performed by inputting output from buffer memory 3 to a motion detecting part 5, and also, inputting image information in accordance with the reflecting echo signal out of the image information last time in frame memory 8 to the motion detecting part 5 simultaneously. An SCC(scan correlation) 4 inputs the reflecting echo signal from the buffet memory 3 and a differential value along with the depth direction, and performs correlation in which weight is changed between the image informations corresponding to the differential values. An obtained reflecting echo signal is stored from the SCC 4 to the frame memory 8, and such operation is repeated in every reflecting echo signal. In this way, an arrpropriate degree of correlation for the depth direction of the reflecting echo signal is decided. |
