The heater is connected to a circuit for a heat transfer medium by means of inflow and return pipes. The heating installation has secondary heaters (4) mainly emitting heat by convection, and has primary heater panels (6) chiefly emitting heat by radiation. The circuit can be regulated so that, with a low demand for heat, the primary heaters, and with a high demand for heat, the secondary heaters, are used. The primary heaters are placed in front of the secondary heaters, and have a larger outer surface than the secondary heaters.
