<p>The applicator consists of a housing (1) which acts as a reservoir (3) for the product and contains an applicator brush (7) which can move between extended and retracted positions. A second section (2) of the housing is closed by a stopper (5) on the inside of a screw cap to prevent the viscous product from escaping. A cylindrical partition (17) is impermeable to the cosmetic product but allows the solvent contained in it to pass through, preventing the product from drying out or increasing in viscosity. The partition, which surrounds the brush (7) when it is in its retracted position, is made from a porous material, produced e.g. by fitting or agglomeration of fibres, or it can have a solid wall with narrow capillary slits or holes of very small diameter.</p> |
