The electronic card has a plastic body (1) enclosing the functional components (2) which are supplied from a battery (3). The battery is connected to a sensor (4) whose physical properties vary when it is subject to a manual operation. An electronic circuit (6) controls operation of the functional circuit in response to the state of the sensor. The sensor may be activated by the card having a speed in a set range, by a strain gauge responding to flexing of the card, or by a thermistor activated by heat from a finger placed on the card. This may be improved with two thermistors responding to temperature difference between the finger and ambient temperature. Thermocouples may be used in a similar way. Variation of impedance between two electrodes can also be used. |
