<p>PURPOSE: To provide a recorder unnecessary for inputting from the outside when the tape feed speed is revised according to data rate and utilizing efficiency of a recording medium is increased, easy for operation, and suitable for program recording, etc., too. CONSTITUTION: A rate information extractor 1 extracts rate information of respective data streams inputted from the input data. The coded data are divided into packets of the number of prescribed bits by an error correction coder 3 and added with an error correction code. The error correction coded data are outputted to a modulator 4 in a prescribed order to be modulated by the modulator 4 and to be recorded by a recording head 6. When an inputted signal is e.g. a low rate, the rate information extractor 1 sends the rate information to a system controller 2, and the system controller 2 controls the tape feed speed so that the tape feed speed becomes half through a tape feed speed controller 7.</p> |
