The synchronised-driven pallet belt (1) has a row of pallets each possessing cavities for a tray containing at least one shell. Feeder-units (8) are positioned on each side of the pallet-belt. Each feeder-unit carries a cardboard-roll (18) from which a length (19) of cardboard leads to an insertion-unit (28). An insertion-stamp moves towards the cardboard-strip and into a recess in the pallet. The cardboard strip leads over at least one deflector roller (34,35) to a belt-removal unit (36), after passing the feeder unit. The removal unit possesses a belt-disintegration unit (36).
