PURPOSE:To obtain a compactor and a waste compressing method without needing a working to open a stopper of a PET bottle or to drill a spray can by installing a piercing mechanism going in and out a needle to pierce the waste. CONSTITUTION:In a compactor which reduces the volume of a waste inside a compression room with a compressing plate, a piercing mechanism that needles 31 to pierce the waste go in and out from the compressing plate 32 is installed. The compressing plate 32 pre-compresses the waste, next this piercing mechanism is acted, after piercing the pre-compressed waste, brought from the compressing plate 32, and the pre-compressed waste is really compressed. Further, a waste receiving room having an opening and closing gate to discharge the waste is installed on the upper side of this compression room, the waste is easily made to be thrown into the compression room with the operation to open and close the gate. Therefore, because the residual air or gas of the waste can be vented, the volume of the waste can be reduced, the danger of the explosion can be also prevented and the working efficiency can be improved. |
