PURPOSE:To automatically decide whether a selected tablet is matched with a designated brand or not and to precisely identify the tablet in spite of a position and a posture when the tablet is supplied. CONSTITUTION:A camera 1 color-photographs the tablet and the picture is converted into a gray picture. A tablet area in the picture is corrected to prescribed position and direction, and a feature vector is extracted from the picture. The density value vector is used as the feature vector. A distance between the feature vector and the reference vector of the brand, which is stored in a dictionary file 110 and which is designated is obtained. The tablet is judged to be the designated one in accordance with the distance. For correcting the position and the direction, thresholds against contrast evaluation values are decided for the respective small area obtained by dividing the gray pictures of the tablet by using a dynamic binarization processing method, and the respective small area are binarized by using the thresholds. Thus, the ares of an identification code mentioned on the surface of the tablet is extracted, and the direction of the tablet is corrected. |
