摘要 <p>In a procedure for controlling the power plant (engine) output of a vehicle, there is a setpoint for the output torque which is adjusted independently of the state of the transmission, the latter comprising a torque changer that can be bypassed with a clutch. During the gear change, the engine setpoint torque is maintained. The engine torque is dependent on the pressure at the torque converter and also on the speed difference between the input shaft and output shaft for the clutch. The pressure on the clutch is activated according to a time function based on initial and end values of certain engine parameters. The time function is either linear or S-shaped.</p>
