<p>An exercise machine has a frame, a seat and a pair of articulated exercise arm assemblies. Each of the arm assemblies is pivotally attached to the frame, with a left exercise arm assembly being coupled to the frame at a first pivot location to the right of a longitudinal center line of the machine, and a right exercise arm assembly being coupled to a second pivot location to the left of the longitudinal center line. Handles at the outer ends of the exercise arm assemblies are gripped by the user to perform the intended exercise. The geometry of the arm assemblies and their pivot points are arranged so that the handles of the arm assemblies follow arcuate paths centered at the pivot point.</p> |
