<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the new compound derivative, comprising a 1,3-disubstituted hydantoin derivative, having inhibiting actions on metalloproteases and useful as a therapeutic agent for diseases in circulatory organs such as hypertension or cardiac insufficiency or an analgesic agent, etc. CONSTITUTION:This new hydantoin derivative is expressed by formula I [A is a (substituted)1-10C bivalent aliphatic hydrocarbon; B is expressed by the formula (CH2)n-N(R<5>) (R<5> is H or a 1-16C monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon; (n) is 0 or 1] or the formula (CH2)n-CR<6>(R<7>) (R<6> and R<7> are each the same kind as that of R<5>); R<1> is H or a protecting group of mercapto group; R<2> and R<3> are each H or a 1-10C (substituted)monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon or R<2> and R<3> together may form a 4- to a 7-membered ring; R<4> is a 1-16C (substituted) monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon} and has inhibiting actions on metalloproteases [e.g. 1-cyclopentyl-3-(1-merapto-3-phenyl-2-propyl)hydantoin]. The compound is obtained by reacting an isocyanatg compound expressed by formula II with a compound expressed by formula III (R<10> is a 1-4C alkyl) and then cyclizing the resultant compound.</p> |
