The invention provides a hinge (10) suitable for use in a roof window assembly (40) having a frame (42) and a movable sash (44) connected to each other by a pair of hinges (10) according to the invention. Each hinge (10) includes a first hinge element (12) connectable to the frame (42) and a second hinge element (14) connectable to the sash (44).
