Translational and rotary workpiece positioning method

The method of translational and/or rotary positioning of workpieces uses a camera, an image analysis unit and a positioning device.Either a reference workpiece or the actual workpiece to be positioned is brought into many different mechanical positions/rotating positions by the positioning device, and is admitted there. A comparison of the images obtained with a special image of the workpiece is performed.
