The network comprises several radio channels and numerous subscribers. If required for a new subscriber, a suitably selected channel is allocated according to preset criteria. In the channel selection, alternate influence of several radio connections is taken into account. A new channel to be allocated is taken into consideration. Pref. the inter-channel modulation distortions is considered as the alternating influence, in addition to existing radio system situation, as well as the new subscriber parameters.
