PURPOSE:To improve resistances to light and formalin and to enhance color formation performance by incorporating a specified magenta coupler in at least one silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:At least one silver halide emulsion layer formed on the support of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains a magenta coupler represented by the general formula, R being H or a substituent, R' being H, or mono- or tri-valent group, and R' being able to be H only when n=1, and Z being a nonmetallic atomic group capable of forming an N-contg. hetero ring. The magenta coupler is added, preferably, in an amt. of 1.5X10<-3>-7.5X10<-1>, especially, 1X10<-2>-5X10<-1>mol per mol of silver halide. |
