ROTARY MATERIAL SORTER AND METHOD FOR ITS SORTING

PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for separating materials from flowing solid waste. CONSTITUTION: This rotary material separator has a drum 2 and a hermetic chamber 4 disposed on the mouth of the drum 2. Plural blade parts 6 are spirally arranged on the first inner part of the drum 2 and the second inner part of the drum 2 is provided with plural magnet pieces 8 and is provided with a polishing device having an iron conveyor 20 for brushing these magnetic pieces 8. The third inner part of the drum is provided with plural flexible lifters 10 and further has a moving conveyor 12 projected like a cantilever through the outlet end of the drum 2 and a drive mechanism 14 across the center of the drum 2. The first inner side part, i.e., the blade parts 6 and the second inner side part, i.e., the magnet pieces 8 are separated from each other by the blank parts 16 of the drum walls.
