PURPOSE:To manufacture a thermosensitive recording material of good color developing sensitivity and color developing image reservation stability by forming a thermosensitive recording layer composed of an electron donation compound and an electron receiving compound as main components to which a specified compound is added and contained therein on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The respective quantities of an electron donation color developing compound, an electron receiving compound and a compound represented by the formula I (R1 and R2 represent hydrogen atoms, alkyl, alkoxyl, and halognated atom.) are crushed and dispersed in a water solution binder by using a means such as a ball mill to prepare coating liquid for thermosensitive recording layer. The coating liquid is applied for coating on a substrate such as paper, a plastic sheet, or synthetic paper and dried thereon to form a heat- sensitive recording layer and manufacture a thermosensitive recording material. As an actual example of a compound represented by the formula I, 1,2-phenoxy phenyl benzoate, 2,2-phenoxy benzoate(4'-methyl phenyl), 3,2-phenoxy benzoate(3'- methyl phenyl) or the like is used. |
