<p>PURPOSE:To automatically generate translation templet including variables to be rewritten by various phrases by inputting a translated sentence to a machine translation system. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd language sentences to be correspondingly translated are inputted, the morpheme analysis and phrase analysis of these sentences are executed and the corresponding relation between the 1st and 2nd language sentences is identified (16) while referring to a conversion dictionary. Then corresponding words in the 1st and 2nd language sentences are converted into variables corresponding to each other to generate a translation templet (17). The corresponding relation of phrases between the 1st and 2nd language sentences is extracted, a templet expressing the range of corresponding phrases as variables is formed (18) and a templete obtained by segmenting only the range of the corresponding phrases is generates(19). Thereby a translation templet can be learned (automatically formed) from an optional translated sentence and much labor is not required for the generation and input of the translation templet. In addition translation of high quality can be attained.</p> |
