<p>In order to guarantee the growing-in process of bone implants (10) made of metal without bone cement it is proposed that the metal prosthesis (10) be coated with a braided structure (11) of carbon fibres (21, 22) which is prepared by directly braiding the fibres onto the metallic body. This measure has the additional advantage that subsequent equipping of pre-fabricated metal prostheses is possible. <IMAGE></p>
