<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently separate and recover a volatile effective component by extracting the trace volatile effective component with supercritical or nearly supercritical carbon dioxide and introducing the material to be extracted into an U tube with the inner diameter of the bottom larger than those of the other parts. CONSTITUTION:A material to be extracted is brought into contact with supercritical or nearly supercritical carbon dioxide in an extractor 2, and the trace volatile effective component is extracted by the carbon dioxide. The effective component extracted in an extraction vessel 8 is continuously drawn off along with the carbon dioxide from the top of the vessel 8 through a conduit 7c, cooled by a heat exchanger 6b and then introduced into a collector 3 through an inlet pipe 21. The carbon dioxide introduced into the collector 3 and contg. the effective component is decelerated at the bottom 24 of an U tube 22 and cooled, hence the effective component is collected on the bottom 24, and the carbon dioxide is discharged from an outlet pipe 23.</p> |
