摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a biaxial oriented polyester film having the superior easy slipping properties as a magnetic recording medium and the superior resistance to shaving and resistance to scratching to all of metallic tape guides and plastic tape guides and useful as a base film for the magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented polyester film for magnetic recording contains 0.05-1.0wt.% of inactive particles A of 50-120m<2>/g of specific surface, 0.5-1.0ml/g of micropore volume and 0.02-0.30mum of average grain diameter and also contains inactive particles B of the average grain diameter of 0.3mum or more and 1.2mum or less.
