PREVENTIVE INSPECTION UNIT FOR TUBE WHEELED CONTAINERS An inspection unit for wheeled containers is proposed where the defects of the wheels are sensed by photoelectric/machine vision, the rolling position by position sensing means, either magnetic or optic, the temperature of the wheels by improved sensing means, and the cruise behavior by vibration sensors and air pressure sensors. All data are processed in an intelligent solid state block with dedicated software.
