The invention relates to a boundary marker device for topographical use, of the type comprising a fixed detector plate (8) fitted with an electric circuit arranged to activate a mobile transmitter. The device according to the invention comprises a support (1) in the shape of a nail fitted with a substantially conical body (2) ending at one end in a point (3) and at its other end in a head (4), the said body (2) including a cavity (5) for receiving the said detector plate (8) and comprising an opening for passage of the said detector plate (8), and means (6, 9) for closing the said opening after insertion of the detector plate (8).
