The present invention relates to a binding for holding the front of a boot on a cross-country ski (2), including a binding body (4) fastened to the ski (2), and provided with a transverse housing (8) which is open towards the top, intended to receive a hooking pin (9) integral with the front of the sole of the boot, and above, to the rear of this housing 8, a ramp (15) adjacent to the transverse housing (8) and inclined towards the housing (8) from its upstream or upper side (19) towards its downstream or lower side (20). This binding is characterised in that the ramp (15) includes at least one cavity (18, 24, 32, 35, 40, 44, 46, 50, 55) which is open on the outside via its upper face parallel to the plane of the ramp (15) and closed at least on the downstream or lower side (20) of the ramp (15) and includes at least one guide for the hooking pin (9) consisting of at least one non-hollowed part (22, 26, 23, 36, 54) of the ramp (15) which extends from the upstream or the upper side (19) of the latter as far as its downstream or lower side (20). <IMAGE> |
