PURPOSE:To control a display screen with a simple operation by permitting a position detection means projecting a screen surface to detect a light beam from a pointing beam irradiation means and obtaining a selection signal. CONSTITUTION:A large screen pointing device is provided with a picture projection means 2 projecting the picture of a character, a graphic and the like on the screen 1 surface, and a picture control means 4 controlling projecting pictures 6 and 7 being at least a part of the picture projection means 2 based on the selection signal. Furthermore, the pointing beam radiation means 3 and the position detection means 5 projecting the screen 1 surface are provided and the position detection means 5 obtains the selection signal. Thus, the screen can easily be controlled by irradiating an appropriate position with the pointing light beam while the display screen is viewed. |
