PURPOSE:To prepare the title foam having the same excellent properties as those attained when chlorofluorocarbon is used as a blowing agent by using a specific compd. instead of the conventional chlorofluorocarbon as the blowing agent in the process wherein a polyolefin is mixed with the blowing agent at high temp. and pressure and extruded into a low-pressure zone to give the title foam. CONSTITUTION:In producing the title foam by mixing a polyolefin with a blowing agent at high temp. and pressure and extruding the mixture into a low- pressure zone, a fluorocarbon which is obtd. by replacing a part or the whole of the hydrogen atoms of a hydrocarbon with fluorine atoms, pref. at least one member selected from the group consisting of perfluoropentane, perfluorohexane, perfluorobenzene, pentafluorobenzene, perfluoroalkyl hydride, and dihydroperfluoroalkane, is used as the blowing agent. |
