PURPOSE:To surely press-contact an original by moving an optical sensor supporting body between detecting and retreating positions according to the opening/closing actions of a pressing plate and pressurizing the pressing plate to an original placing glass in non-contact with the sensor supporting body. CONSTITUTION:When the original 1 is placed on an original placing contact glass 2, the corner of the original 1 is positioned so as to abut on the corner of an original edge part regulating member 3, and the leading edge and tailing edge image of the original 1 are abutted on the member 3. The original 1 is exposed and scanned by an original exposing optical system scanner which is not shown in figure from the bottom of the glass 2, and the L-shaped optical sensor supporting body 4 similar to an original edge part regulating member 7 is slid in a prescribed direction. A longitudinal arm 4a extending in the scanning/moving direction of the scanner is provided on the supporting body 4, and an optical sensor S1 is mounted thereon at a distance from a corner, and sensors S2 - S5 are mounted on a arm part 4b extending in a direction intersecting orthogonally with each other at a prescribed interval. Thus, the pressing plate 6 provided on an image forming device main body 5 is moved by the supporting body 4, and the original 1 is abutted on the glass 2. |
