PURPOSE:To discriminate easily the welding state of a weld zone, a welding fault, etc., while making the film density uniform by arranging a freely detachable shielding plug in a tube to be tested, and nearly equalizing the metal transmission distance of a radiation. CONSTITUTION:A radiation container 2 containing a radiation source 1 is inserted into a tube body 3, and at a radiation source side end part, a shielding plug 9 made of a metallic material while having a conical notch 9a is arranged detachably. The angle alpha1 that the generating line 9a of the notched part and the center axial line 10 of the plug 9 contain is nearly equal to the angle alpha2 to the tube axis of the external surface generating line of a fillet weld zone 5. Consequently, a radiation 6 from the radiation source 1 is transmitted through a penetrameter 7 with nearly equal metal transmission distance at any position to reach a film 8, so the density of the film 8 is nearly uniformed to discriminated and confirm the welding state, welding fault, etc., of the fillet weld zone 5. |
