Rimmed cast resin wash basin - sits in support plate cavity, with support rim bearing basin rim nearly level with top of support rim

The wash basin has a casting resin shell (3) with rim (4) which sits in a cavity (2) in a support-plate (1). A support rim (5,6) supports the basin-rim which is at most only a few milimetres high above the top of the support plate and goes round the hole in the supporting-plate. The rim has an extra support (7,17). Spaced apart from the outer edge (10) of the rim and acting as a contact surface (9) for the rim is a thicker inner part (7) next to which is an outer rim (8) thinner by a few millimetres and forming an outer support surface (11). The inner and outer contact surfaces of the rim are joined by a connecting surface (12) with groove (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - The surface of the wash-basin has no areas which are difficult to clean.
