PURPOSE:To easily discover the defective points of respective control circuits by providing a simple check pattern generator in a display monitor. CONSTITUTION:The simple check pattern generator 8 outputs check signals to a video amplifier 2, a synchronizing separator circuit 4, a horizontal separator circuit 5, and a vertical deflection circuit 6, as the respective control circuits respectively. For example, the output of the video amplifier 2 is cut of its signal and is operated by the signal from the simple check pattern generator 8 in case of checking the video amplifier 2. The presence or absence of the abnormality of the video amplifier 2 can be discovered when a change arises on the screen on a CRT 3. The defective points of the respective control circuits 2, 4, 5, 6 are checked in such a manner. |
