PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity of a display and to improve color reproducibility with high contrast by adding by-pass wiring which reduce the resistance of a display electrode arranged on a liquid crystal layer to an optical color compensating plate. CONSTITUTION:The optical color compensating plate 2 where a liquid crystal panel 1 and wiring 3' are patterned is connected by a sealing material and terminal 4 to reduce the resistance of the electrode 3. The terminal 4 for connection is made of a low-resistance terminal connecting material such as anisotropic conductive rubber, an adhesive containing conductive particles, and a flexible substrate FPC. The wiring 3' patterned on the optical color compensating plate 2 is by-pass wiring connected to both ends of the electrode 3 of a liquid crystal cell by the terminal 4. Then a voltage supplied from a driving circuit part 6 is applied to the electrode 3 through a flexible substrate 5 and also applied to the by-pass wiring 3' through the terminal 4 at the same time. Consequently, the uniformity of the display is excellent and a high-contrast black-and-white display is made; and the technique of a micro color filter, etc., is combined to obtain a color display with excellent color reproducibility. |
