PURPOSE: To reduce measuring time and to record ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrum even under complex conditions by converting a radio frequency signal that is guided by an excited ion signal to a frequency-dependent signal. CONSTITUTION: A first radio frequency(rf) pulse P1 for vibrating ions is added, a second pulse P2 with the same frequency as that of the pulse P1 is emitted to excitation ions after a certain amount of time, and a third rf pulse P3 for producing interference vibration is added to ions in a measurement cell after a mixture period Tm succeeding the pulse P2 passes. Then, the rf signal that is excited by the pulse P3 and is guided by vibration is received and recorded. Then, the measurement sequence is repeated for several times and at the same time a step for exciting ions by pulses P1 -P3 while changing the period t1 is included, and a guided time-dependent rf signal is recorded. Then, a set of rf signals that depend on a measurement period t2 that depends on the change in the period T1 can be finally converted to a two-dimensional frequency- dependent signal while eliminating the dependency on the periods t1 and t2 . |
