PURPOSE: To obtain an extremely effectively and efficiently absorbing core on using absorptive gel matters by forming a storage layer comprising combination of a hydrophilic fibrous material and separated granules of the absorptive gel matters and a liquid treating layer comprising a material with a non wet- sensitive and elastic low density and high void volume. CONSTITUTION: An absorbing core 42 has a storage layer 48 with a collective opening 56 and a holding belt 58 and a liquid treating layer 50 arranged under the storage layer 48 so as to be arranged between the storage layer 48 and a back sheet 40. The storage layer 48 is constructed by a combination of a fibrous material and separating granules of the absorptive gel matters. The absorbing core 42 is arranged between a top sheet 38 and the back sheet 40, and extends over a side edge 62 of the absorbing core 42 to specify a side flap 64. And a top sheet 38 and a back sheet 40 surround an elastic member 44 adjacent to a lengthwise directional edge 30 in the side flap 64. An upper tissue layer 66 is arranged between the top sheet 38 and the storage layer of the absorbing core 42 and gives integrity to the storage layer 48 on processing and treating the absorbing core 42.
