Connections are known in which the optical waveguide ends are introduced into little tubes and adjusted. To prevent grating, the walls of the little tubes, the sharp edges of the optical waveguide ends have to be rounded, involving a large outlay. In the invention, two optical waveguide ends (1) to be connected to one another are inserted into the groove of a receptacle (3) and displaced towards one another. A pressure part (4) which presses the optical waveguides into the groove is fastened between the legs of the receptacle (3) and the legs of the receptacle (3) are bent towards one another.
