<p>PURPOSE:To improve nonlinearity, and increase thermal stability, by joining alternately one or more layers of a ZnO layer which is crystallized at the time of layer formation, and contains ZnO as main component, and a metal oxide layer which is crystallized at the time of layer formation, and forms an electric potential barrier against the ZnO layer, and arranging an electrode in a manner in which a conducting path crosses a junction surface. CONSTITUTION:One or more layers of a ZnO layer which is crystallized at the time of layer formation and contains ZnO as main component, and a metal oxide layer 14 which is crystallized at the time of layer formation and forms an electric potential barrier 15 against the ZnO layer 13 are alternately joined. In order that a conducting path may cross the junction surface, electrodes 12, 16 are installed, e.g., on the ZnO layer 13 and the metal oxide layer 14. Since the metal oxide film 14 is crystallized at the time of layer formation, the electric potential barrier is complete and safe, so that nonlinearity is improved, and thermal stability is increased.</p> |
