<p>A control device for automatically shifting gradual gear change boxes (T1) in motor vehicles or for determining the shift instructions of such gear change boxes has an electronic control device (T2) to determine the shifting points and the gears to be shifted. Information about at least the engine and gear output rotational speeds (21, 22), about the load required (L) - position of the accelerator pedal - during traction, and about the braking required - position of the brake pedal or brake switch T8 - are continuously supplied to the electronic control device (T2) and processed with information stored by the electronic control device (T2). The selection of the shifting points and the gear selection allow the transmission line to advantageously adapt to the driving conditions. In the electronic control device (T2) an evaluation characteristic diagramme (T7, 70, 700) is superimposed on the stored motor characteristic diagramme (T6, 60). The curves (be) of the motor characteristic diagramme (T6) lead in connection with the evaluation (71, 710) from the evaluation characteristic diagramme (T7, 70, 700) and with the load required (L) by means of the accelerator or power pedal (T4, 40) or brake pedal (T8) to the shifting points and to the gears to be shifted, according to the acceleration/deceleration (a) and/or to the acceleration changes. By giving to the evaluation characteristic diagramme the form of a grid, a particularly advantageous adaptability to various types of vehicles becomes possible.</p> |
