PURPOSE:To amplify oscillation easily, by a method wherein a moving piece is provided with two pieces of driving legs, having different resonance frequency, and a Langevin type oscillator, providing the driving legs with oscillation, is attached to the legs so as to be pinched between them. CONSTITUTION:The moving piece 10 of an ultrasonic linear motor is provided with left and right driving legs 11, 12 and a connecting unit 13, connecting the intermediate parts of the height of the driving legs 11, 12 so as to be formed into H-shape substantially. Running legs 11a, 12a are constituted of the parts of the driving legs 11, 12, which are projected from the connecting unit 13, and the ends of the running legs contact with a running surface 20. A Langevin type oscillator 15 is pinched between the running legs through spacers 14. According to this constitution, the lag or lead of the oscillations of two driving legs 11, 12 is changed with the resonance frequencies of the driving legs 11, 12 and the frequency of a voltage, applied on the Langevin type oscillator 15; therefore, the regulation of a moving speed as well as the change of the moving direction of the moving piece may be effected by changing said frequency. |
