PURPOSE:To prevent a recording layer from being deteriorated by reading light, by providing an undercoat layer having a thermal conductivity higher than that of a transparent base on the base, and providing thereon a recording layer comprising a specified organic coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:An undercoat layer 2 having a thermal conductivity higher than that of a transparent base 1 is provided on the base 2, and a recording layer 3 comprising a compound of the formula is provided thereon. The transparent base is formed of a glass, an acrylic resin, an epoxy resin, a polycarbonate resin or the like. As the undercoat layer, an inorganic film or organic film of a silicon oxide or the like having a thermal conductivity higher than that of the transparent base and capable of forming a transparent uniform film is used. By this, the energy of reading light with which the recording layer is irradiated is released as heat through the undercoat layer, so that the quantity of heat accumulated in the recording layer is reduced, and the organic optical recording material in the recording layer can be prevented from being deteriorated. |
