1. A bin for the mechanized collection of waste such as household refuse, which includes a sloping protective bib (5) and projecting means of attachment in one piece with the edge (4) of the lid (3) of the bin for attaching this bib along the said edge, characterized by the fact that the said means of attachment comprise two parallel longitudinal ribs (10, 11; 10', 11'; 20, 21; 20', 21'; 30, 31; 30', 31') moulded along the said edge of the lid, the said ribs being spaced further apart than the thickness of the bib, and locking means (13, 15, 24, 25, 34, 34') for locking one of the longitudinal edges (12, 23, 33) of the bib between the said ribs, the bib being previously preshaped so as to exhibit in the locking position a certain slope with respect to the edge of the lid. |
