The wall through which the cable is installed has high pressure on one side of it, and low pressure on the other. The elastic material packing pieces (6,7) fill the inside of the frame (1), and at least one of them has a through hole (8) for a cable. A tension device (11,12) produces by compression a seal between the parts of the arrangement and wall, and between the parts themsalves. The frame has a ring-shaped main part made of plastic material on either side of which is a rigid press plate. This plate has holes (9,10) through which the cable or cables can pass. The tension device comprises partly a plate (11) on the side of the wall where there is high pressure, and partly a number of tension bolts (12) which clamp the plate (11) and the press plate to compress the frame main part and the packing pieces.
