PURPOSE:A hair cosmetic showing improved brushing characteristics without causing greasiness, capable of making damaged hair smooth, containing a cationic surface active agent, a protein derivative and a liquid oily component having a branched structure. CONSTITUTION:(A) A cationic surface active is reacted with (B) a protein derivative, preferably polypeptide obtained by hydrolyzing collagen protein, an ester thereof or a condensate of the polypeptide and fatty acid and (C) a liquid oily component having a branched structure, preferably a liquid acid shown by the formula (R1 and R2 are straight-chain or branched chain alkyl wherein total carbon atoms of R1 and R2 is 8-50; R3 is OH, COOH or H) in a ratio of 0.05-10wt% component A, 0.05-5wt% component B and 0.05-10wt% component C to give a hair cosmetic providing the hair with finish free from greasiness, making the hair smooth and having improved brushing properties. |
