PURPOSE:To decrease scumming and to improve the sensitization of an image part by coating an aq. soln. contg. at least one kind of compd. of a group consisting of a specific condensed ring arom. compd. and the salt thereof prior to a burning process after development. CONSTITUTION:The aq. soln. contg. at least one kind of the compd. selected from the group consisting of the compd. which is the condensed ring arom. compd. and has at least two acid functional groups per piece of the condensed ring nucleus and the salt thereof is used as the processing liquid to be coated on a lithographic printing plate prior to the burning process. The acid functional group is exemplified by a sulfo group, carboxyl group, etc., and the plural acid functional groups existing in the condensed ring nucleus may be different and are more preferably the same. The generation of scumming in the non-image part is thereby obviated even if the counter-etching after the burning process is not executed. The lithographic printing plate having the high sensitization of the image part and excellent printing resistance power is thus obtd. |
