PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composite semipermeable membrane having excellent permselectivity by using a polymer obtained by the reaction of polyaminodiphenyl ether with a multifunctional reagent capable of forming a covalent bond by the reaction with an amino group. CONSTITUTION:A multifunctional reagent capable of forming a covalent bond by the reaction with an amino group is allowed to react with triaminodiphenyl ether and tetraaminodiphenyl ether having a structural formula shown in the figure to form a cross-linked polymer. An extremely thin membrane layer consisting essentially of the polymer is provided on a porous carrier. In this case, an aromatic or aliphatic multifunctional amine having >=2 primary or secondary amino groups in one molecule or a water-soluble org. polymer having a reactive amino group at the terminal of the molecular chain or on the side chain may be mixed in the aminodiphenyl ether component. |
